Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated August 27, 2026 · Ekkoe

This policy sets out how Ekkoe may and may not be used. It is part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service. Because Ekkoe supports a regulated activity, responsible use is essential.

Permitted use

Ekkoe is for lawful customs and trade-compliance work — researching classifications, estimating duty, drafting entry paperwork for review, and monitoring trade policy — by or under the supervision of qualified professionals.

Professional responsibility

Ekkoe’s outputs are decision support, not filings. A licensed customs broker must review classifications and filing decisions, consistent with the responsible-supervision requirement (19 CFR § 111.28), and the importer of record and broker must exercise reasonable care (19 U.S.C. § 1484). Do not treat any Ekkoe output as a final determination or as legal, customs, or filing advice.

You must not

Use Ekkoe to file or attempt to file with CBP without licensed-broker review; to evade or facilitate the evasion of duties, sanctions, export controls, or antidumping/countervailing obligations; to submit data you do not have the right to use, or that contains others’ personal data without authorization; to reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or create derivative works of the platform; to overload, disrupt, or bypass rate limits, access controls, or security; or to use the platform for any unlawful, infringing, or deceptive purpose.

Data and security hygiene

Keep credentials secure, grant access only to authorized personnel, configure roles appropriately, and promptly report any suspected security issue or unauthorized access to us.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access to protect the platform, our users, or third parties, consistent with the Terms of Service.
